Meeting and casting at PAX 2012

During PAX 2012 in Seattle earlier this month, we held our third live podcast. It was released as Idle Thumbs 73: Pegasus Launch. Thanks to the many excellent Thumbs who attended! For those of you who didn’t, well, we completely failed to plan for any kind of video solution, so in the absence of documentation let’s just say the unnecessarily massive room was 100% completely full and leave it at that.

And after only one false start, we launched our wonderful new website live during the panel, thanks to the efforts of wizardly Idle Thumbs web guy Doug.

That same night, we held an impromptu fan meetup at what turned out to be the eminently suitable Six Arms bar near the convention center. We packed the whole upper level of the place, which was fairly impressive considering the venue was completely changed twice after it was first announced only several hours before the event began.

And thanks to excellent backer Chris van Graas and has laptop, we had an early build of Steve’s upcoming game Gone Home running in a booth. Several folks played it, and they were all tantalized.

All in all, we’d say it was the Thumb’s best PAX yet. Thanks to everyone who came out to either or both of our functions. To those who didn’t, we hope to give you more opportunities in the future!
